🎓 Module 0 | Qur'anic Arabic Script & Sounds [Total Beginners]
Duration: 1 Full-Day Crash Course
Date & Location: To be announced
Target Audience: This module is ideal for total novice learners, anyone who wishes to refresh their knowledge of basic Arabic sounds and learn accurate pronunciation, or anyone wishing to improve their enunciation of correct Arabic sounds without the influence of the Urdu-Phonetic method.
🎓 Module 1 | Qur'anic Arabic Script, Sounds & Meanings
This 4-week interactive course is for anyone who can read the Qur’an in Arabic and wants to read clearly, improve pronunciation, and understand basic Qur’anic words and grammar. In weekly 3-hour live sessions, participants will practice reading, review all Arabic letters and vowel/pronunciation symbols, distinguish similar-sounding letters, and understand essential basic grammar through simple 1- and 2-letter words to help read with confidence and accuracy.. Please note: this is not a Tajweed course; it focuses on pronunciation, reading skills, and understanding the script rather than the detailed rules of Qur’anic recitation.
A: This course is for anyone who can read the Arabic script and letters with basic accuracy, even if they do not fully understand the meaning or recite with perfect Tajweed. It is ideal for learners still developing pronunciation or comprehension skills, particularly British Asian students who learned Arabic using the Urdu phonetic method (Qāʿida Nooraniyya), and who wish to refine pronunciation, deepen understanding of Qur’anic Arabic, and improve reading fluency.
A: Many learners who studied via the Urdu phonetic method face:
Pronunciation Influences: Difficulty with letters not present in Urdu (ṣ, ḍ, ṭ, ẓ, ʿayn, ḥāʾ, qāf), leading to substitution with Urdu equivalents.
Tajweed Difficulties: Struggles in applying proper Qur’anic recitation rules due to blended phonetic habits.
Phonetic Blending: Qāʿida Nooraniyya teaches basic Arabic script effectively but mixes Urdu vowel and consonant rules, complicating the shift to classical Arabic pronunciation.
Need for Correct Pronunciation: Many learners now recognise the importance of accurate Tajweed and seek guidance to correct previous pronunciation habits.
Confidently recognising, reading, and pronouncing all Arabic letters, including similar-sounding letters, in their Qur’ānic script forms.
Understanding all essential ḥarakāt (vowel signs) and their effect on pronunciation.
Reading simple Qur’anic words, phrases, and short verses with correct pronunciation.
A beginner-friendly introduction to the root system and essential 1-letter, 2-letter and particles to support basic meaning recognition.
Duration: 4 weeks, 1 live session per week (3 hours each).
Each session combines practical recitation exercises with focused study of the script, sounds, and essential grammar.
Participants will:
Review Arabic sounds & script, including subtle distinctions between similar-sounding letters and common pronunciation pitfalls.
Explore the pronunciation of Allāh in various forms, recitation styles, and contexts.
Study short & long vowels (Madd) and key pronunciation rules affecting meaning.
Identify and pronounce 1- and 2-letter words (prefixes and suffixes) understanding their grammatical significance.
Engage in applied reading & understanding, practicing passages from the Qur’an to integrate pronunciation, grammar, and meaning.
Strengthened accuracy and confidence in reading the Qur’an.
Solid grasp of the linguistic subtleties that shape meaning.
Ability to apply correct pronunciation habits.
Support from 1-to-1 coaching to target personal learning challenges.
🎓 Module 2 | Qur'anic Arabic Keywords
Building on the foundations laid in Module 1, Module 2 introduces learners to essential Qur’anic Arabic vocabulary and keywords. These are commonly used words from the Qur’an and beyond, which appear frequently in daily communication, worship, and Islamic contexts.
Learners will:
Understand and recognise core Qur’anic terms used in everyday life.
Develop confidence in reading and comprehension for both religious and practical situations.
Apply vocabulary in context, enhancing fluency in speaking, reading, and understanding Arabic phrases.

As a learner you will:
Familiarise yourself with practical expressions used in worship, personal reflection, and community life.
Learn high-frequency Qur’anic verses to enhance recitation, recognition, and understanding.
Use phrases in context, applying language skills confidently in real-life situations.

🎓 Module 4 | Qur'anic Arabic of the Beautiful Names of Allah (أسماء الله الحسنى)
Module 4 builds on the foundations of earlier modules by exploring the linguistic, spiritual, and practical meanings of the Beautiful Names of Allah. Learners deepen their connection with the Qur’an by studying selected Names directly through their Qur’anic contexts, root meanings, and real-life applications.
As a learner you will:
Discover the core linguistic roots behind selected Names of Allah, enhancing recognition and understanding. Explore Qur’anic verses where these Names appear, strengthening both recitation and comprehension.
Apply the meanings in personal reflection, daily supplications, and spiritual practice.
